Your support helps LCN support the good people of Leelanau County. They offer a number of ways to help, from online monetary donations to estate planning, to volunteering your time.

GIFTS OF CASH

Leelanau Christian Neighbors receives operating funds from church collections, from community organizations, local businesses, fundraising events, and from grants. LCN’s largest source of revenue, however, is individual donors. Without the support of gifts from people like you, LCN could not carry out its mission. One-time cash donations or repeating automatic deductions help our everyday operations and are tax deductible.

GIFTS OF STOCK

Gifts of stock, bonds or mutual funds are among the most mutually-beneficial and easiest ways to give. Gifts of stock or mutual funds may be eligible for a tax deduction for the full market value on the date of the gift. Also, the donor may avoid paying capital gains on the stock or real estate’s increased value. Please consult your tax preparer or financial adviser about gifts of stocks, bonds or mutual funds. ESTATE PLANNING

Have you thought about including LCN in your estate planning? Planned giving through bequests and beneficiary designations allow you to give more than you otherwise thought possible, and therefore have a greater impact in helping those in need. Visit the LCN website to learn more.

DONATE FOOD TO LCN

Leelanau Christian Neighbors welcomes donations of food for its food pantry, or our Blessings in a Backpack program. A list of foods and other supplies that LCN cannot purchase through its suppliers is listed here. LCN also welcomes donations of produce and fruit from local farmers and orchardists.
